MB&F?s whimsical series of sci-fi desk clocks has a new, supremely mobile and tactile champion, Grant.

A desktop off-roader prepared for any workplace eventuality, Grant is a transforming, tracked vehicle that also happens to house an 8-Day desk clock.

MB&F?s co-creations whether they are clocks like Octopod, music boxes or weather stations like The Fifth Element seem to fit firmly into one of two categories; epic, immoveable objects that demand your attention (Balthazar, we?re looking at you) or spritely playthings. Grant takes pole position in the latter category as, despite it needing a push to get it moving, it beats Kelys and Chirp for straight-line speed thanks to its three working rubber tank tracks.
The clock?s escapement, which beats at 18,000vph, and its glass dome form Grant?s head whilst a shield on its back represents the dial. No doubt taking inspiration from Transformers, Grant also rests in three positions; low-profile, 45 degrees and upright, giving Grant three distinct silhouettes and ensuring the dial is always legible, wherever it is placed.

Just like the WWII-era M3 tank it was named after Grant is also armed to the teeth, with a free-spinning ‘cutting wheel’ in one hand and a ?grenade launcher? in the other.
