Mercer Watch Co. Airfoil Video Review
Mercer Watch Co., like many micro-brands, began life on Kickstarter with its introductory timepiece, the Brigadier. Since then, Mercer has grown its catalog, and last year the New Jersey-based brand released the Airfoil, a contemporary take on a pilot?s watch with an aesthetic that isn?t all too unfamiliar (there are some strong Bremont Solo vibes coming off of this one). At $799, this Sellita SW200-powered timepiece sits in a sweet spot for a lot of watch buyers, but it?s also in a very competitive space. As far as the components and specifications go, the package is relatively solid. You have a 40mm case available in brushed stainless steel or black DLC. The dial is matte black with applied numerals and markers. The hands are broad, stylized swords accented with a simple red seconds hand. Super-LumiNova BGW9 lights up the dial at night. Paired with the watch is a padded shell cordovan strap. Save
