Montblanc Star Legacy Orbis Terrarum: Applying a Golden Touch
One of the things that I appreciate most about autumn is the changing of the leaves. I am fortunate to live in a forest-like area, and when the sun is shining through those colored leaves, it feels like mother nature has opened her jewelry store. I had a similar experience viewing the new Star Legacy Orbis Terrarum by Montblanc. The brand introduced shades of pink gold in a monochrome color palette, resulting in a dashing effect.
The Star Legacy Orbis Terrarum is an eye-catching watch, to begin with. It shows the world time by means of a map, dominating the center of the dial. Underneath, a guilloche motif in two different colors cleverly tells you if it is day or night in which part of the world. For added convenience, Montblanc also included this in the hour ring around the map, combined with one indicating capitals in different timezones. This watch is the fourth version of the Star Legacy Orbis Terrarum since it was first introduced in 2014.
Housed in a 43mm case of stainless steel, Montblanc has plenty of space to bring the complication to life without making it look crowded. The time can also easily be adjusted with the crown located at 8 o’clock. Once set, all you have to do is operate a pusher until the reference city is at 12 o’clock when traveling, and the hour and minute hand will automatically synchronize accordingly.
