New Farer Segrave Chronograph Gets Monopusher and Big Eye
Farer has made some great chronographs in recent years, most recently in the colorful Carnegie, which we reviewed just earlier this week. The British based brand has a knack for injecting their unique personality into each watch in the form of unexpected colorways and a respect for great case dimensions. Their latest creation, the Seagrave Monopusher Chronograph offers a new take on that formula. It?s subtle, interesting, and still Farer through and through.
The Seagrave name may sound familiar, and for good reason, as it was used by the brand on a chronograph released back in 2018. That watch served as the inspiration for the Monopusher variant you see here. That means a matte black dial, dual registers, and a colorful hand set. The new watch also gets the ?big eye? treatment, with an oversized minute totalizer at 3 o?clock that gets a white backdrop, while the smaller sub dial housing the running seconds indication is matched to the dial.Â
Those colorful hands come in the form of a bright blue timing seconds hand, a green minute timing hand, and an orange running seconds hand. A raised telemeter bezel runs the perimeter, featuring green numerals on a white backdrop. It?s enough color to be effective, while held back enough to give the watch a somber feel compared to something like the Carnegie. This feels like a design you could wear everyday.
