New York Based Stella Watch Company Launches the Felix on Kickstarter
Stella Watch Company is a New York based watch brand who is launching their first model on Kickstarter today. The Felix, a time and date watch with a mix of unique design elements, will be available in several colorways and features a Swiss made STP1-11 movement at a price just over $1000.

The Felix has a few distinguishing features, chief among them is the dial layout and design. The combination of fonts and colors is definitely unique – my eye is drawn to the script of the Stella signature, which feels contemporary, and resembles grafiti. The Arabic numerals are similarly large and distinctive, and give the dial a fun, playful energy. This is something of an anti-minimalist watch, with aesthetics borrowed from the Art Deco design language and plenty of small details to keep visual interest up.Â
The other unique characteristic of the Felix is the case design. The mid-case has been given a black DLC coating, putting it in stark contrast with the brushed and polished surfaces of the rest of the stainless steel case.
