Nomos Partners with Ace Jewelers for Tangente 38 Amsterdam Limited Edition
Bauhaus-inspired German watchmaker Nomos Glashütte has announced a new limited edition of its Tangente 38 timepiece, produced in collaboration with the Netherlands’ Ace Jewelers. The new model, dubbed the Tangente 38 Amsterdam, is an homage to the city of Amsterdam, where Ace Jewelers is located. It follows the same design codes as the original Tangente 38, while debuting an exclusive black colorway on the dial, and will be limited to only 45 editions.
Taking a closer look at the new Tangente Amsterdam, we find it uses a 37.5-mm polished steel case, one quite low on the wrist at only 6.7 mm thick. On its side is a simple push/pull crown, while thin, angular lugs connect the watch to the smooth, black Horween Shell Cordovan strap. Like all watches in the Tangente collection, this model uses a triple-layered construction for its case, including the caseback, center, and smooth ?bezel-less? bezel piece.
Moving beneath the sapphire crystal, the dial uses a familiar Bauhaus design, similar to that seen on previous Tangente watches (two models pictured below), though here in the unique ?Amsterdam? colorway. On its outer edge is a white minute track accented with black marks, while the rest of the dial, in contrast, features a matte black color with white accents.
