The Rolex Daytona in steel has been a rarity for quite some time. But the confusing maelstrom of wanting something and not being able to get it has been spinning faster and faster in recent years. Retailers rarely keep waiting lists for this most desirable Rolex model, and resale values are almost twice as much as the retail price of a new watch ($13,150).
