Oris Reveals Dreamy Blue Divers Sixty-Five LE With Chronos
Oris returns to the Divers Sixty-Five for the first time in 2022 with a new limited edition done in collaboration with Chronos, a print magazine dedicated to watches. Oris is no stranger to such projects, one of our favorite releases from the brand in 2021 was the elusive 65 unit Spirit of Sixty-Five watch done with CronotempVs. Here, Oris is returning to their classic diver silhouette with another unique LE housing their in-house caliber 400, making it the fourth limited edition Divers Sixty-Five to do so. The movement has yet, to date, to appear in a regular production Divers Sixty-Five.
The Chronos Limited Edition Divers Sixty-Five sets the Oris caliber 400 within a 38mm steel case, a size that works well with this footprint, in our experience. A steel 3-link bracelet comes standard with a brown leather option in the box.Â
The Chrono LE gets a brilliant ice blue dial that transitions from light at the center to dark blue at the perimeter. Stark white BG W9 lume is used on the hour indices and hands to create a crisp white contrast against the blue, and with no date window in sight you?re treated to a clear view of the lovely blue dial uninhibited.Â
A steel bezel insert is used here to keep the focal point firmly on that blue dial, giving the watch a uniform appearance. It?s a look we?ve seen before on the bronze Divers Sixty-Five models, such as the Cotton Candy collection, and it?s equally effective in steel.Â
