A pickpocket in Ibiza managed to steal one of the most expensive watches ever made from a super-rich tourist who hails from Azerbaijan. The thief, who according to the description is believed to be in his 30s, stole a Richard Mille RM 50-03 Tourbillon Split Seconds Chronograph Ultralight McLaren F1. According to the police, the thief stole the watch from the Azerbaijani owner in broad daylight after shoving him several times. The 22-year-old tourist was walking along the seafront in Ibiza town with a friend at around 4:30 pm when the incident happened. Police said that the victim was left with injuries to his wrist and arm and he immediately reported the theft after it happened.
Released in 2017, the Formula 1-themed watch is priced at $1.3 million USD. Limited to just 75 examples, the sporty watch weighs only 40 grams with the strap included and is made of using lightweight materials like TPT Carbon (TPT stands for Thin Ply Technology), titanium and Graph TPT which is a kind of resin that contains graphene. Even the movement is made from the same material and weighs only 7 grams along with offering a power reserve of 70 hours.
