British watch brand Pinion debuts its first dual time watch, the Pinion TT

Pinion, the watch company launched by Piers Berry at SalonQP 2013, has released a new dual time watch: the Pinion TT. It?s the first dual time model for the Oxfordshire company, and follows models such as the Atom and the Axis II.
With TT standing for ?two timezones?, the Pinion TT is a GMT model with a lightweight titanium alloy case, brushed to a satin finish. There are two dial variants, one maroon and the other anthracite. On both, the second timezone is shown by a pale blue GMT hand that points at the 24-hour numerals around the sloping inner bezel. 

There’s aesthetic continuity with previous Pinion models, such as the Pure: the TT features applied numerals and indices in the same font, slightly raised off the dial. As a result, the GMT hand features a gentle curve just above the arrow to allow it to pass smoothly over the numerals. Orange accents are picked out on the maroon dial, including on the seconds hand and around an inner chapter ring, while the anthracite version features lilac details. The hands and indices on both are painted with green luminova, and a small date window sits unobtrusively between 4 and 5 o?clock.

Inside the 42mm TT is a Swiss made automatic movement, the ETA 2893-2, in contrast to the Japanese Miyota movement that featured inside the Pinion Atom. It?s a rather more handsome movement than the Miyota 9015 – with a steeper price ...
