Refined Re-Imagination: Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Chronograph Calendar
Drawing inspiration from Jaeger-LeCoultre’s round watches from the 1950s and 1960s, the Master Control collection beautifully symbolizes the Grande Maison’s technical expertise and savoir-faire in respect to sophisticated design. The Swiss manufacture now introduces an eye-catching new variation to it: the Master Control Chronograph Calendar in pink gold with a black dial. Recalling the colored watch dials of the mid-20th century, the complete calendar and bi-compax chronograph re-imagines their vintage appeal in a gorgeous contemporary style.
The dial is framed by a pulsometric scale marked around the flange (a traditional indication originally developed for physicians to measure the heart rate), which, in keeping with tradition, is marked in red. Creating a dynamic contrast with the black dial, the red is repeated on each of the three azurage finished sub-dials and in the day and month windows. There is also a circular moon-phase indication including a pointer date on board. The refined appeal is completed by the pink gold dauphine hands and applied trapezoidal indexes.
The Master Control is presented with a diameter of 40mm and a height of 12.05mm and distinguished by beautiful finishes, such as the satin-brushing on the case sides and lugs while the bezel, crown, pushers, and lug bevels are polished.
