Richard Mille RM 67-02 models aim to dominate track and field
Sporty versions of the RM 67-01 ? the RM 67-02 Sprint and the RM 67-02 High Jump ? reinforce the brand’s wearable haute horlogerie credentials.

Richard Mille is no stranger to high-profile sporting associations. Take for example its long-running partnership with tennis superstar, Rafael Nadal, which was most recently highlighted by the retina-searing RM 27-03 tourbillon. Then there is the not-so-small collaboration with McLaren F1, signed for a 10 year period in 2016, and launched onto the scene in January of this year with the RM 50-03 McLaren F1. This particular model pushed a few more boundaries with a new, graphene-based material to create an ultra-light (just 40g including the strap) timepiece.
Now, just months down the line, Richard Mille has introduced two versions of the ultra-slim RM 67-01 ? the RM 67-02 Automatic Wayde Van Niekerk ? Sprint and the RM 67-02 Automatic Mutaz Essa Barshim ? High Jump. In case you?re not up on your international athletics, Wayde Van Niekerk is a world-record holding, Olympic gold medal winning South African sprinter, with expertise in 200 metres and 400 metres. Similarly, Mutaz Essa Barshim is a record-holding Qatari high-jumper, with silver and bronze Olympic medals from Rio 2016 and London 2012 respectively.
Both men will compete wearing their Richard Mille timepieces at this summer?s IAAF World Championships in London, with the brand describing the design as a ?second skin for the athlete?. Spr...
