Two new colours of the Excalibur Spider Pirelli Automatic Skeleton have been released by Roger Dubuis as part of its collaboration with Pirelli

The partnership between Roger Dubuis and Formula 1 tyre manufacturer Pirelli began earlier this year, with the Excalibur Spider Pirelli Double Flying Tourbillon and the Excalibur Spider Pirelli Automatic Skeleton.
Now the two brands have teamed up again, launching the Automatic Skeleton in yellow and red – the two colours used in Pirelli?s iconic logo.

Fittingly – and perhaps for the gent who likes to match his watch to his car – red and yellow are the two colours featured on the Pirelli Color Edition tyres that launched this year.
The titanium case and bezel are coated in black DLC case, as is the crown, which has been covered with matching rubber. Beneath the skeletonised dial, and through the signature five-pointed star, the self-winding calibre RD820SQ can be seen.
Depending on your choice, red or yellow also pops up on the flange of each watch, and the stitching on each strap.

As far as watch brand and motorsport partnerships go, this is one that will please fans keen to get up close and personal. The watch strap is made from Pirelli tyres, but not just any tyres: rumour has it that the rubber comes from the tyres of the Mercedes AMG F1 that Lewis Hamilton drove to victory in the 2016 Monte Carlo Grand Prix.
