Rolex Datejust: Old School vs New School
Should you stick to old, when you can have modern"
That’s the question troubling me for a couple of weeks from now. I perceive myself as a huge Datejust lover. Always liked its sleek and elegant design noticeable within beautiful case shape and matched with iconic Jubilee bracelet. On top of that I suffer from ‘SWS’, which is Slender Wrists Syndrome, so don’t have to mention how hard it is for me to find a right-looking watch. Datejust seems to fulfil all my needs in this matter. But, these days small and compact watches are being ousted by bigger and more massive ones. Rolex releases new, updated Datejusts with bigger 41mm cases. I can understand why. These days, it is more trendy to wear bigger watch, even more and more women are tending to go for big size watches.

Should you really stick to the good old Datejust with sleek Oyster case, when you can go for modern Datejust with updated Oyster case, which looks more firmly and more manly"

The answer is not as plain as I thought at first. The thing I always loved about Datejusts was definitely Jubilee bracelet, it looked just so classy and stylish. With modern version my biggest problem is that it doesn’t quite appear as right as it should. I mean more massive case and Jubilee bracelet coupled to this watch wears totally different and to me, as if it lost its remarkable vintage charm.
