Showing at WatchTime Live 2021: Oris Aquis Date Caliber 400 41.5 mm
WatchTime New York, America?s largest luxury watch event, is returning for its sixth year at Midtown Manhattan?s Gotham Hall on October 22-24, with more than 25 participating watch brands displaying their latest and greatest timepieces. Among these brands is Oris, which is showcasing the new Aquis Date Caliber 400 41.5 mm, the latest model to contain the brand’s acclaimed, recently launched Caliber 400 movement.
Last October, Swiss watchmaker Oris launched its first in-house movement, Caliber 400, inside a model from its sporty Aquis range, and has since expanded its use, first with the Carl Brashear Cal. 401 Limited Edition at the beginning of this year, and then with the AquisPro Date Calibre 400 introduced a few months later in mid-spring. Continuing the trend of introducing the remarkable caliber into more of its catalog, Oris introduced the 41.5-mm Aquis Date Caliber 400 at the start of this summer, a launch remarkable not only for its use of the movement but also for its highly wearable size and three colorway options.
The watch uses the same case design as previous Aquis Date models, known for its robust styling, integrated lugs, prominent diving bezel, and signature screw-secured crown guards. The model differs of course in its 41.5-mm diameter, which Oris considers a more “universal” size than that of its larger predecessors.
