Swiss independent watch brand Graham will join 27 other brands at this year’s WatchTime New York event, held at Manhattan?s Gotham Hall on October 13-14 (click here for event details and to purchase tickets). Among the timepieces it will showcase there will be the new Chronofighter Vintage GMT, introduced at Baselworld 2017.
The Graham Chronofighter Vintage GMT watch is a modern automatic chronograph and GMT watch with a few vintage influences ? all in all, a large timepiece with a prominent wrist presence. The thick, 44-mm steel case noticeably has a left-sided chronograph configuration with an enlarged pusher toward the top of the watch, and a complex trigger mechanism towards the middle, combining a co-axial onion crown and a push-button. The detail-rich case also adds thick lugs matching the chronograph system, and a toothed unidirectional outer bezel to assist with the GMT function of the piece.
The dial is available in a deep, sunburst green, brown, black, or blue ? and, like the case, is thoroughly intricate in all the different details it brings together. Notable are the large black subdials in the center of the watch displaying a red-hand-accented 30-minute counter, and a white-hand-accented running seconds display. Around the dial, we find Super-LumiNova-coated and red-accented hands, numerals, and indices, with a large 6 being the only Arabic numeral for the hour markers.
