Showing at WatchTime New York 2017: Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Chronograph
Jaeger-LeCoultre, one of Switzerland?s most prestigious haute horlogerie brands, will participate for the second year in a row at WatchTime New York, America’s largest luxury watch show, held from October 13-14 at Manhattan’s Gotham Hall. (Click here for details and tickets.) Among the new models JLC will showcase at the event is the Master Chronograph, a premier complication from its recently revamped Master Control collection.
Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Chronograph
The Master Chronograph, like all the Master Control models launched at SIHH 2017, has a classical, vintage-inspired dial; contains an automatic mechanical movement, made in-house at the Jaeger-LeCoultre manufacture in Switzerland?s Vallée de Joux; and features navy blue details on its dials ? in the skeletonized baton hands, central chronograph seconds hand, subdial hands and numerals, and minute track numerals. All of these blue touches are elegantly emphasized by the dark blue alligator leather strap. The bezel and lugs on the stainless steel cases have a polished finish, while the caseband has a contrasting satin-brushed finish imbuing the case with additional charm. A similar contrast is found on the dial, on which a circular satin-brushed finish in the outer section sets off the opaline finish in the center. The resulting visual effect, of light bouncing off the dial at different angles, aids in the legibility of the indications, as do the simple black hour markers and Arabic numera...
