It is no secret that watchmakers have adopted decreased diameters in recent years, trading in hefty wearing timepieces for slimmed down statement pieces. An example from Carl F. Bucherer that entered the market earlier this year is the Manero Flyback 40mm, a scaled-down follow-up to the original 43mm Manero Flyback Chronograph first introduced in 2016.

The Swiss brand?s newest Manero edition is among a handful of watches that will be on display at this year?s WatchTime New York, a three-day event dedicated to showcasing the most sought-after watch releases from the past year. The event will take place from October 21-23, with more than 30 participating watch brands joining together at Midtown Manhattan?s Gotham Hall. The Manero Flyback 40mm is available in five sleek colorways, though each shares a common steel case silhouette. Differentiating the five options is the textile strap that each reference is presented on. With a quick release system and stainless steel pin-lock folding clasp, the strap is available in red, blue, green, white, and black.  

Along with central hour, minute, and chronograph second hands, the dial has a date aperture at 6 o?clock. Completing the layout is a chronograph counter and small seconds sub-dial at 9 and 6 o?clock.
