WatchTime New York 2022 is just around the corner, with the seventh annual WatchTime event returning to Midtown Manhattan?s Gotham Hall from October 21-23. The three day event is dedicated to showcasing various timepieces and giving guests the opportunity to converse with industry professionals. Over the course of the weekend, more than 30 participating watch brands will display their most sought-after releases from the past year. 

Joining the impressive list of attendees is independent and contemporary watchmaker HYT. The brand will showcase the Moon Runner Red Magma, a timepiece that made its debut at Geneva Watch Days just a few weeks ago. The intensely contrasting red and black colorway of the watch is inspired by the red glow of magma found in the Earth?s core. 
The watch features a 78-part case made from hydrocarbon and red-coated titanium. The watch is relatively hefty, with case dimensions of 48mm in length, 52.30mm in width, and a thickness of 21.80mm. Creating cohesion throughout the case is a black titanium winding crown located at 3 o?clock. 

At the center of the timepiece’s dial is a large spherical moon phase indicator made from black and red titanium. Two rings around the moon phase indicator display the date and month, while one further outward ring that is red holds the minute pointer. The capillary for the hours display is filled with red and clear liquid, and the point at which the liquids split is the indication of the hour....
