Montblanc?s egalitarian bid for ?watchmaking legitimacy? continues in 2019 with an offering suitable for most pockets. From a sub £5,000 monopusher chronograph to a simple three-hand automatic, the brand has the majority of bases covered.
And with so much emphasis of late on designs inspired by vintage aesthetics, Montblanc has even introduced an entirely new collection, Heritage, which includes, among others, the aforementioned automatic, a GMT and a rather compelling Day Date. The collection as a whole is great addition to Montblanc?s offering, perfectly in tune with what today?s customers want and illustrates that the brand is in safe hands with the decisions being made by watch boss, Davide Cerrato.
Sitting at the top of the new collection is the Heritage Manufacture Pulsograph, a headline-grabbing limited-edition recreation of an historic Minerva original. We?ve seen the two watches side-by-side, above with Minerva on the left and Montblanc in the right, and, while the new watch features cleaner, simplified lugs, hands and crown, it is very much in the spirit of the original.
