Sinn and Page & Cooper launch two limited editions, the Sinn BLU1 and BLU1 S
Frankfurt-based watchmakers Sinn and specialist fine watch dealer Page & Cooper have teamed up for two new models
To celebrate five years of partnership, Sinn and Page & Cooper have released two limited editions, the BLU1 and BLU1 S.
The watch is based on the Sinn U1, a dive watch made of seawater-resistant German submarine steel. The BLU1 case is also manufactured by Thyssen Krupp Marine Systems, of the same steel used on the external hull of the 212 class submarine.

Sinn is well-known for its highly functional tool watches, such as the 2015 Mission Timer designed for firefighters. Impressively, each BLU1 model is water-resistant to 1,000m and has been certified as dive equipment by DNV GL, an advisor for the maritime industry. Both bezels have been fully tegimented, a process developed by Sinn to increase scratch resistance. In the case of the all-black BLU1 S, the whole watch has been tegimented.
Both models have deep blue dials, with each colour applied individually and coated with a protective lacquer.
Interestingly, the watches will be the last to be produced at the Sinn Spezialuhren factory in Frankfurt am Main which opened in 1961 – the company is moving to new premises (also in Frankfurt) at the end of this year. The launch also coincides with Page & Cooper?s appointment as Sinn’s UK service facility.
The stainless steel BLU1 is limited to 35 pieces, with 15 all black BLU1 S models made. If you ...
