The Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean “Michael Phelps” is a limited edition of 280 pieces ? a reference to the 28 Olympic medals (23 of them Gold) that Phelps has won in his legendary swimming career. The most successful Olympian of all time, Phelps began his partnership with Omega ? then, as now, the official timekeeper of the Olympics ? just prior to his historic eight-medal performance at the 2008 Games in Beijing. The watch has a suitably aquatic character, with a pool-blue color scheme, a unidirectional diving bezel, and high level of water resistance (600 meters, or 2,000 feet) for the 45-5 mm case. The case is made of stainless steel; the bezel, in polished blue ceramic and displaying a dive scale, has orange rubber inserts to denote the first 15 minutes of dive time.
