Tag Heuer has a history of collaborating with Japanese designers to give their iconic watches a fresh new touch, like the incredible limited edition Nendo watch from 2016. The Swiss luxury watchmaker has done it again, and has partnered with famous Japanese designer and pioneer of streetwear Hiroshi Fujiwara to create a new limited edition Carrera watch. Originally a DJ in Japan, Fujiwara went on to establish the multidisciplinary creative studio Fragment Design in 2003 and since then entered into highly hyped collaborations with brands such as Nike, Jordan Brand, Beats and Louis Vuitton. Fujiwara recently took to Instagram to announce the partnership and tease the limited edition.

Called the TAG Heuer Carrera Heuer 02 Fragment Limited Edition by Hiroshi Fujiwara, the retro-inspired watch has a no-nonsense design going back to the roots of the Carrera line. The watch features TAG Heuer?s own Heuer 02 movement, as stated in the name, in a stainless steel 39mm case with Fujiwara?s Fragment name and logo on the deep black dial. The logo of the design house also makes an appearance on the sapphire caseback. The limited edition comes with a ?powerhouse? strap, which is a cuff-like strap made of alligator leather. An additional black and grey NATO strap will also be delivered with the watch. Only 500 units will be available for grabs with a price-tag of CHF 7,900 (about $7900 USD). [Via:Ablogtowatch]
