Frequently described as “The Oscars of Watchmaking,” the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) is the most coveted prize in the world of horology. Although the winners in each of the 12 categories won’t be announced until Friday, Nov. 9, we’ll have a number of this year’s nominees on view this weekend at WatchTime New York. Here is a quick rundown of all the brands attending the show that will be crossing their fingers and hoping to bring home the most prestigious award in watchmaking. Not every watch on this list will be at the show this weekend but a majority will, and brand representatives will be available to discuss the nominated watches if needed.
