Among its many collaborations and partnerships, Hublot last year worked with the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes, France, to create a special limited-edition timepiece, and followed up the exotic sun-and-sand theme with another special edition celebrating the Isle of Capri at the opening of the Swiss brand’s boutique there. This week, Hublot rolled out the latest ultra-exclusive watches born of its partnership with the Oetker Collection of luxury hotels, both inspired by the legendary Eden Rock de Saint Barthélemy. For men, the maison offers the Classic Fusion Aerofusion Chronograph Eden Rock, with a skeletonized chronograph caliber; for ladies, its the Classic Fusion Eden Rock, a three-hand with diamond-set bezel and ruby indices. The watches, both of which are limited to only 25 pieces, were launched concurrently with the grand reopening of the Eden Rock, a destination for numerous celebrities and luminaries since its founding in the 1950s, which this fall completed a major renovation after being devastated by Hurricane Irma in 2017. Present at the VIP launch party at the Eden Rock St. Barth’s for the new pieces were Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe and Olympic sprinter and “fastest man alive,” longtime Hublot ambassador Usain Bolt, who hails from the nearby Caribbean island of Jamaica.
