Tudor and Harrods announce special edition Heritage Black Bay in green

We’ve got exclusive hands-on pictures of the latest addition to the Black Bay family – a Harrods edition in trademark green that’s set to be an instant collector favourite

You all know the Tudor Heritage Black Bay (if you don’t, catch up here). It’s the lodestone of modern-day Tudor, a watch design that has become synonymous with the brand’s revived fortunes and loved for its simple proposition and bold, colourful charm.
Such is the success of the watch that we have long since stopped predicting when Tudor would call time on new variants. And now, lo, here is another one. It is a special edition produced exclusively in partnership with Harrods: as such the Knightsbridge department store’s trademark shade of green has been deployed liberally, and it will be sold exclusively through Harrods’ Fine Watch Room.
The big thing, of course, is the green bezel: a third colour added to the steel Black Bay’s ranks (fifth if you count stainless steel or black). It’s a great shade of mid-green, slightly military at times and olive-y at others. It plays well with the gilt-edged cream of the lume plots and golden minute track (something very Rolex about green-and-gold, of course), but if you look closer there are more subtle green details too.
