Roger Dubuis continues to push the boundaries of haute horology with its latest hyper-technical timepiece that debuted at the Watches and Wonders 2022. Behold the ground-breaking Knights of the Round Table Monotourbillon. Ever since it was first launched in 2013, the Knights of the Round Table collection has continually evolved by elevating the levels of engineering and craftsmanship. The latest iteration is the 8th edition in the series and arguably represents the biggest update since its inception. For the very first time, Roger Dubuis has paired the Knights of the Round Table motif with a tourbillion, which is quite surprising.

Right at the center of the dial is a Monotourbillon which aesthetically represents the table surrounded by the 12 knights. Each of those knights represents the hour markers and is made from Pink Gold 750/1000, micro sculpted by hand at just 6mm in height. Instead of regular hands, the watch uses a pair of gold markers integrated into a double-disc rotating system that circles around the tourbillon to indicate passing hours and minutes. The tourbillion is also surrounded by translucent purple blocks made of Murano glass. The watch is powered by the manual-wind caliber RD115 which happens to be the very first central tourbillon movement created by Roger Dubuis.
