Ulysse Nardin presents new Executive Moonstruck Worldtimer
Hovering somewhere between traditional and outlandish, the new Moonstruck Worldtimer charts the moon, sun and tides for the astronomy super fan.

Ulysse Nardin has often felt like a watch brand with a split personality. On the one-hand its traditional watchmaking heritage has led to some neatly sophisticated, albeit classically inclined, timepieces. On the other, its penchant for innovation has produced some off-the-wall pieces, such as the Hourstriker Pin-up and the technologically brilliant InnoVision 2 with a long list of manufacturing achievements.
Filling that middle ground between traditional and out-there was the challenge that Ulysse Nardin set itself for 2017, resulting in two core additions in April; the Classico Paul David Nardin and the Le Locle Diver. Now, Ulysse Nardin has forged ahead in this same vein with the Executive Moonstruck Worldtimer, which claims to be the only watch to accurately depict the movements of the sun, moon and earth in relation to each other, as well as depicting a map of the tides.
The Executive Moonstruck Worldtimer features a host of decorative details and mechanical quirks. In the centre of the dial, the Northern Hemisphere is depicted as seen from above the North Pole. Around this, a two-part moon orbits whilst also displaying an accurate moonphase. Further out still, a solar disc, represents the sun’s ‘apparent’ movement around the earth, completing a rota...
