Vacheron Constantin expands Overseas with smaller men’s model



Vacheron adds variety to its sports luxe collection with a smaller option as well as a smattering of bi-metal

Vacheron Constantin has expanded its Overseas collection with six new pieces, including smaller examples as well as plenty of bi-metal designs.
While the Overseas was only relaunched in January 2016, Vacheron Constantin has clearly not been oblivious to the market?s taste for smaller watches being driven, in turn, by the popularity of vintage watches.

Two 37mm stainless steel models are being released with a small seconds at the nine o?clock and satin-finished sunburst dials in both blue and ?rosy beige? lacquer. Inside is Vacheron?s 5300 in-house 4Hz automatic with 22k gold rotor and 44 hours of power reserve. Vacheron has quite rightly made much of the new Overseas? quick-change strap concept, which allows the owner to remove either strap or bracelet by pulling a small catch with a fingernail. As such, these 37mm Overseas models come with a steel bracelet as well as both alligator and rubber straps colour-matched to the dial.

Two 37mm bi-metal pieces ? stainless steel case with 18ct 5N pink gold bezel and crown ? have also been revealed, one with 84 round-cut diamonds set in the bezel. Before the introduction of these 37mm models the most diminutive men?s Overseas was the Ultra-thin at 40mm, with the only 37mm variant available being diamond-set.
