The Apple Watch Ultra Depth Tracker Gets Tested In A Dive Chamber
Like many of you tuning into Apple?s Event at Apple Park a few weeks back, we got our first look at the Apple Watch Ultra. It?s the first time the Apple Watch has seen an update in case design and integrates a suite of new features. As a result, the Apple Watch Ultra created some hoopla among those in the watch community, and rightly so. The Apple Watch Ultra is now constructed out of Titanium, sports a larger (and brighter) screen and equipped with an upgraded water resistance rating up to 100 meters. Partnering up with the Oceanic+ app, the Apple Watch Ultra transforms into a dive computer for the recreational diver, incorporating key information for those below the surface such as depth rating, GPS tracking, and a dive log (up to twelve dives). But according to Apple, the depth app will only read up to 40 meters (131 feet) during a dive, despite the watch being rated up to 100 meters.
