Conan O?Brien Discusses the Late Norm Macdonald

Norm Macdonald passed away this week, and the news was met with stunned reaction from the comedy community. There have been many, many articles about Macdonald?s career written in the short time since his death, and just as many curated lists of his best clips on YouTube. A lot of those clips are from episodes of the various late night shows hosted by Conan O?Brien over the years. Macdonald has appeared on O?Brien?s shows since his early days at Late Night on NBC, and the two are inextricably linked. O?Brien released a special episode of his podcast this week where he sat down with longtime sidekick Andy Richter and producer Frank Smiley about their unique experiences with Macdonald over the years, and attempted to put a finger on what it was that made him so special.
