A watch with provenance is always a little more special in my book, and earlier this week a great story hit our DMs that we thought was worth sharing. Brought to our attention by San Francisco’s Fog City Vintage, this Seamaster 300Â was once worn by Lieutenant Colonel George Aikman Finter, who served in post-war Germany, did four tours in Vietnam, and worked as an intelligence officer in South America ? all of which would eventually earn him a Legion of Merit and a Bronze Star. The watch, which is in excellent condition given its age and the action it’s seen, comes with a whole bunch of personal documents from Finter himself, among them passports, IDs, photos, and more.
