Wempe Glashütte i/Sa opens a new chapter in the Wempe Iron Walker collection. Introduced as a sporty yet elegant stainless-steel timepiece with an integrated metal bracelet three years ago, the watch family now welcomes two automatic chronograph models with an enlarged diameter of 44 mm. The dials, rubber-coated bezels, and pushers are offered in two color options, matte black and Nordic blue. As is de rigueur for a contemporary sports watch, the sunray-finished dials with applied indexes and baton-style hands are coated with lume to ensure legibility under all lighting conditions. 

The Wempe Iron Walker Chronograph XL is powered by the tried and tested Sellita caliber SW500 and earns a chronometer certification according to the German ISO 3159 standard. In contrast to the Swiss C.O.S.C. institute, which only tests the calibers, the testing procedure is executed with the movements encased. The former Glashütte observatory is home to the institute, which was founded by Germany?s most famous retailer in 2006.
Water-resistant to 100 meters, the Iron Walker Chronograph XL models are attached to an integrated metal bracelet with H-shaped links and finely polished bevels on the sides that echo the architectural style of the case. For the first time, they are also offered with rubber straps. Pricing for the new Wempe Iron Walker watches is marked at $4,600.
